Visit of PANOPTIS partners in the Greek demo site. A photo of Metsovo bridge that is located in the west section of Egnatia Odos is presented. The Metsovo Bridge is a twin bridge built in 2009 following the cantilever method of construction. The bridge has a total length of 565m with 44m – 118m – 235m spans and is supported by single-column RC piers with maximum height of 100m. The dynamic response of the bridge is continuously monitored by a system of dynamic strain gauges, dynamic jointmeters and triaxial accelerometers inside the box beam and at the base of one pier.
